the river is dealt as a community card, one faceup card that everyone shares.

In a live game where burn cards are used when it is 3 handed or less on 7th st. the burns can be shuffled into the stub (if the stub has 2 cards in it) and then dealt.

ie: 3 players complete the action on 6th st. The dealer is holding a deck with 2 cards left in it. He picks up the 3 burn cards shuffles them in with the other 2 and deal everyone a down card.

The reason I say a stub with 2 cards is you never deal the last card of the deck.

If you can't do this, then community cards are used.
