is on tv right now. i watched for about 5 minutes, and turned off the tv and came here. i couldn't stand it at all. instead of using chips, they have piles of bills and have to sit there counting it out. then after they count it out, the dealer counts it out. this process is repeated. i'd say only about 10% of the tv coverage is actually "poker"

What's with these lame tourneys now that don't use
chips?? I've seen a few lately where they use these
big tile looking things. Why are they making it
more complicated than it needs to be....

the tiles are just european chips, the bills seems a little nutts to me

yea the tiles are generally the biggest chip at the table...
yea the europeans over complicate things, but ever see the way the dealers over there spit out those cards? hard to explain, if youve seen it before you know what i mean

they are called plaques. Certain vegas casinos have them in the high roller rooms.
