this one was fun.
villain is 43/6/0.8 after 50 hands. he would always bet in last position if it was checked to him.
Texas Hold'em $2-$4 (real money), hand #1,560,308,765
Table Male, 7 Dec 2005 5:21 PM ET
Seat 1: Smackdown42
Seat 2: oceanozone [ AD,5D ]
Seat 3: enix57
Seat 4: jonesix
Seat 5: PezRez
Seat 6: grytkungen
Seat 7: ColinB
Seat 8: checkoutQQ
Seat 10: lob_wedge
ANTES/BLINDS
grytkungen posts blind ($1), ColinB posts blind ($2).
PRE-FLOP
3 folds, oceanozone calls $2, 1 fold, jonesix calls $2, 2 folds, ColinB checks.
FLOP [board cards QC,9S,9H ]
ColinB checks, oceanozone checks, jonesix bets $2, ColinB folds, oceanozone calls $2.
TURN [board cards QC,9S,9H,3C ]
oceanozone checks, jonesix bets $4, oceanozone calls $4.
RIVER [board cards QC,9S,9H,3C,9C ]
oceanozone checks, jonesix bets $4, oceanozone calls $4.
betting the flop would have been useless, since he would always call. he would then *sometimes* fold the turn, but if he didn´t, i would have to check-call the river. so by being more agressive i would put in the same amount of bets, but face the danger of him folding a worse hand, that he would´ve bet if checked to. same goes for a flop check-raise that i was thinking about.
so is this line good (it feels a little weird)?
how would you play a situation like that against this opponent?

check raise the flop and bet the turn if you think he's full of shit.

mmh, i assume you saw my read. so would you fold because the pot is just too small to take any risks?could you elaborate?
i think against this guy we´re good here 70+% of the time.

serious serious RIO's.
don't carry reads to far, especially ones based on 50 hands.
I think this is a really bad call down.

Yeah,
Pot is way too small. You can pick much better spots.
Assuming that he is FOS, he probably has 6 outs against you. If not, you have 0-3.

alright, at the time i was playing i thought it would be correct to go to sd against this guy. but pokerstove says i´m an underdog here as well (AT would be about breakeven). so folding the flop is the thing to do.
luckily, in the given situation it was
SHOWDOWN
jonesix shows [ 8S,10H ]
oceanozone shows [ AD,5D ]
oceanozone wins $25.

45%-range with the best 5% taken out, because he would have raised.

I got to learn PokerStove better.
I didn't know you could do that.
Keep in mind though that he can always check/fold when he doesn't connect.
Not like you two are all in.
If he always just keeps betting, your hand makes more sense.

Not even close to close. You are in effect making his horrible play close to correct against you. Never look to take A high to showdown against a retard, always have a good reason to be in the pot, because he is likely to hit a pair or to even have a better ace high. These edges you are trying to push are extremely miniscule if not nonexistent.
