I'm posting this hand as sort of a companion piece to some of the discussion in this thread:

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4:club:, K:spade:.
6 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (4 SB) T:spade:, 4:spade:, 4:heart: (4 players)
SB bets, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 3:club: (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, CO folds, SB calls.

River: (7 BB) 2:spade: (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Results below:
SB has 7s 8s (flush, ten high).
Hero has 4c Ks (three of a kind, fours).
Outcome: SB wins 11 BB.

I'm not really concerned with the way I play the hand, in fact I don't really have any problems with the way I played it. I'm actually more concerned with the way the Villain played his hand. I think it's illustrative of the deceptive value of leading out with a flush draw.

I know you said that you suspected that villain had a worse 4 in this spot, but I think he would've shown more aggression before the river in that case. By the river, he's likely to have a pair of tens or a flush. Not that you could change much though.
