Villain is effectively the button even tho the converter classifies him as CO, there must have been an empty-seat.
18.75/10/2.27, 80 hands. I figure he's good enough to be raising here with just about anything plausible.

i don't defend my sb with Q9o, but if i did, i would 3-bet preflop
you should see a showdown given the flop

You lead out WAAAY too often on turns when you're 3-bet onthe flop, methinks. What's the point? He's going to raise with almost every hand that has you beaten. Are you worried about a freecard? If so, why?
I like the flop check/raise, but I think after CO 3-bets you, I think your greatest concern is geting to the river/showdown cheaply. This does not involve leading the turn. I've seen you do this a few times. I think it's a symptom of:
"Oh, man, I got no idea where the fuck I am in this hand. (shrug) Let's bet."
Players that lead too many turns with weak holdings after they've been told to slow down on earlier streets leave themselves open to turn raises or river bluffs. If I were playing against you, I'd be raising A LOT more turns than normal, and showing a profit doing it until you cut it out.

Ice,
I get what you're saying about the turn. I do have a tendency to bet when I don't know what else to do. In an instance like this, are you advocating check/calling down? Is my hand even good enough to call a bet on the river after the aggression I've been shown on the flop?

no, itīs not. villain`s stats look a lot like mine, and i might occasionally three-bet the flop on a draw, but i wouldnīt raise the turn with anything that doesnīt beat a nine by far.
i also think that betting the turn here is just agression without purpose.
and why did you coldcall with q9o?

This could be my influence. I encourage a lot of players (including CINCIKID specifically, I think) to defend with a lot more hands.
From the SB, this is very weak. From the BB it's fine. Easy muck from the SB
Cinci, based on the way the hand was played, I don't think you're ahead much on this river.

Because the villain seemed like a good enough player to be open-raising with a wide range of hands from the button. I felt that I could outplay him after the flop...I was wrong. Also, I guess Q9 still looks like a better hand to me than it actually is.

You're OOP with a hand that gets dominated like the Gimp, against a TAG and encouraging the BB to come along for the ride...
I'm surprised you can still sit down

The guy's a TAG, not a SLAA.
But yeah, fold this hand from the sb (if you are going to play it 3-bet). Calling from the BB is fine.
Turn bet doesn't really accomplish much, except putting more money in with the worst hand. In LHE, the person who had the lead on the previous street usually retains it on the next one. I'd like this bet a lot more if you had the straight.

I just looked at his stats again. You're right, PT has him rated as a SLAA though. Not really sure why.
