I'm mr. imagination when it comes to titles.

Button is 53/5/0.58.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is BB with 6:club:, 6:spade:.
UTG raises, Button calls, SB calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 4:club:, 5:heart:, 3:heart: (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG calls, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 6:diamond: (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets

I intend to fold the river UI if button caps.

Do you really think button raises that turn without the straight? It's possible, but I doubt it's likely; I think you should just call the turn and call one on the river if you don't fill.

I like this line.

I'm torn. Wait, no I'm not.

Loose, non-superaggressive opponent (I am too lazy to decide how aggressive players w/high VPIPs and low AFs are) raises the turn on a dangerous board.

We're drawing most all the time. I doubt he's raising with 2-pair or folding a deuce when you 3-bet.

Besides, if he just calls the 3-bet, and you fill up, you're only getting 1-bet on the river.

If you call the turn-raise and fill up, you'll almost always get 2-bets on the river, so you don't lose much when you come from behind.

I don't see the logic of the turn 3-bet, but I'd like to hear your thoughts

I think it's no good because you need the SB to come along and get 2 bets called by both villains when you're behind and improve.

Also, if one of them gets frustrated and caps/leads an underset/2 pair you are costing yourself the pot.

Likewise the button may have the ignorant end of the straight (unlikely, but fishy A2 & 22 play this way) and shut down after you raise, leading you to bet again UI on the river.

Against a passive rasing the turn and the SB calling 2 cold I'm not sure you're ahead often enough to make up the difference.

All in all too thin

There's no real logic to this play.

At the time I was thinking that if I was ahead and sb has a flush draw, then I could get an extra bet out of him now in case he missed the river. Same goes for if I'm behind and sb had a fd.

Too bad I'm usually behind and sb usually doesn't have a flush draw. And I can't even take the free card on the river UI.

Luckily I filled up on the river. Party poker rewards donkish plays.

My plan would be to fill up on the river, as well. nh.
