I'll be in FL next week, for roughly a week. Looking for good card rooms. And no, not interested in playing 2/2 limit. Are offshore boats the only places to play larger NL games? Please advise. Many thanks.

From what I hear the oceanjewel has been shut down for a while.

Your best bet is to find a local dog track for a nl tourny, Or try some of the higher priced SnG's at the Hardrock.

Wow, you're gonna be in FL? I'll alert the media.
Would you like a formal list of every illegal card room in the whole state, and should we guess your limits?
Takes about 9 hours to get from Miami to Pensacola. Are you willing to travel.
Get where I'm going with this yet?
Legally, you're fucked. Can't play NL on land. Only boats, but I guess you already knew that.

I know some private folks (shhhhh) in Palm Beach that have tables set up, dealers, and free cashews. You know it's a good game when they have free CASHEWS instead on peanuts. PM me.

Going to be moving to Okeechobee, FL at the end of January. Was going to ask a similar question around that time but it looks like im pretty much ****ed since Im 2 hours from any major city.
Guess I'll actually have to start playing online...

not sure why this merited sarcasm. Ron, I'll be in your area it seems, can you perhaps be of some help re: boat specificity?

You put you were coming to FL. It is a big state. That's all I was saying. Specifics baby, specifics.
I also got the impression that you didn't want to go on the boat.
Here is the info
Port of Palm Beach.
Palm Beach Princess
Day and night cruises. They have a poker room. Depending on players, they spread anywhere from a 3/6 to a 10/20. Also a 5/10/15. River bet is 15.
Also a 2/5 NL with 200 max buy in.

thank you sir. I was deliberately vague in my initial post since I'm not adverse to traveling. I will be based in Boynton Beach, however.

I don't know how old you are or what you do, but if you like chicken wings at all, I reccommend you go to the Bru's Room in Boynton Beach and order the wings grilled. Very tasty, and they have a decent late night happy hour. Only decent though.
You'll find that Boynton Beach is just one city in the middle of about 6 cities that all run together. West Palm to Boca Raton is all one big city. Downtown Delray is good as well. Try a bar called Deluxe. If you like women that is. Feel free to PM me. That is my area on the button.
The Palm Beach Kennel Club has SNG's with $1000 in chips and 10 min levels, with a $45 buy in. First is $200 and second is $120. They are decent fun. Steep rake. Best and closest land game to you. If you want to avoid 2/2, which you should unless you are looking for purely a good time.

thanks again. I'll be in town from roughly the 15th-22nd or so, though I'll be largely occupied with family business. Hopefully some nights will avail themselves. I haven't been to that area in years, I'm more familiar with both Daytona and Miami.
