ok spent another night playing an hour or two instead of studying. again only two hands of interest, though the first one is pretty simple i think.

Hand 1:
No reads
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is UTG with [Qh], [Ah]. Hero posts a blind of $2.
UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, CO calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) [8d], [6c], [2s] (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, CO checks.

Turn: (4.25 BB) [Jc] (5 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, CO calls, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 6.25 BB

EDIT - I just noticed the action in this is wrong. I was actually in the big blind, I would NEVER post UTG. everything else seems correct.

Anyone do anything differently?

Hand 2:
no read on UTG, MP3 is 60/11.5/.82

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with [Jc], [Jh].
UTG raises, UTG calls.

Flop: (10.50 SB) [6s], [3c], [Qc] (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (6.75 BB) [As] (3 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets, Hero folds.

Final Pot: 9.75 BB

Comments/Suggestions?

Cheers,
Daniel

hand 1: i play it the same against three opponents.

hand 2: given his stats i think you can safely fold here.

not sure if you misread it, but I had stats on MP3, who folded, and nothing on UTG

umm, yeah, i did, obviously :-)

then itīs: without a read i fold here. there are not enough people bluff-raising this turn to make calling down profitable. especially with two overcards on the board...

I'd bet the flop in hand 1. That's a very non-threatening board.

Hand 2 is great.

I like betting the flop, most players respect a blind raise more.

what happens if one player calls flop bet?

My experience with this OOP is if i bet the non thretening flop and get one caller, i should bet the turn as well. Many seem to peel one card a) to improve their poor hand, and cool.gif to see if the flop raise was a continuation bet (they are in position and can easily bet when you give up on the hand on the turn). Anything wrong with continuing betting?

Hand 1: why are you posting UTG? you can't wait 1 hand? also, bet that flop. you'll take it down quite a bit.

Hand 2: me like.

I'm pretty sure this happens to the HH when you're in the BB when one of the supposed blinds just left the table.
