Is it me getting lucky, or are the SnG's on PStars ridiculously soft? I've played Omaha Hi/Low a total of 7 times in my life. 5 have been on SnG's on PStars, I've cashed four times, won twice, taken second once, and third once.
I don't even really understand strategy that well, I just have been waiting for solid starting hands, and only playing scoopable pots (unless I hit quads or something). Is the games on there THAT soft?

the O8 sngs on most sites are REALLY soft. the problem is if you dont get many starting hands and the blinds start moving really fast. ive never played on stars but clearly the better player in O8 is favored by slow blinds.

stars blinds move the slowest out of any site i've ever played on... and yes, the o8 sng's are the softest i've ever played.
i only started playing today on stars actually, but i can tell that ub opponents are much tougher than ps opponents. i had the same experience as you. played about 4 o8 sng's. won 2, took 2nd in one. took 3rd in another.
plus the ring games are soft as well. i had a guy complaining about my play at a 1/2 nl table. he was complaining that i was always betting 2/3 to the entire pot on the flop (aparently i didnt get the memo that i was only suppose to underbet my hands)
he tiraded me after he minbet tptk the entire way through (in a raised pot mind you), and i rivered my straight (had oesd on the flop) and he proceeded to pay me off (like $50 into a $30 pot)

i'm going to be original.
yes, the SNG's are that soft.
i had never played SNG's, nor any type of tournament Omaha.
clearing a bonus I played 15 O/8 SNG's on stars, 6 limit and 9 PL.
i won 2 in limit with one third, and won 5 PL, with a second and a third. i don't even think i got particularly lucky - usually the money went in when my opponent was drawing dead to half the pot, or was severely dominated.
also, i didn't notice many repeat players, so you don't have to worry about people noticing tight play and noting it for the future

No PLO8 SnGs on Paradise - the LO8 SnGs are OK but not enough players to make it worthwhile - can take 30-45 minutes to start a table.
