Again wondering if pre-flop is ok, I seem to think most situations in these games pre-flop are raise/fold, especially considering I am early to act

Absolute .50-1.00 holdem 6-max

Hero is UTG+1 with Q icon_suit_club.gif , J icon_suit_spade.gif

Preflop

UTG folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls

Flop: K icon_suit_diamond.gif Q icon_suit_heart.gif 7 icon_suit_spade.gif

SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB calls

Turn: J icon_suit_heart.gif

BB checks, Hero Bets, BB calls

River: 4 icon_suit_diamond.gif

BB Bets, Hero Calls?

Total pot 8BB

Wondering if I can raise that river at all, I mean I get so confused by these bets on the end that I almost always end up calling.

very good.

Yeah, I"m just callnig those rivers too.
If it's a silly bluff; he's not calling anyway.

You have to call if he 3-bets
In this case at 6 Max; he probably 3-bets plenty of hands you beat (no one believes you have a strong hand at 6 Max)

With on read, I'll just call.
But if he's a lag, I'd raise.

I'm raising this just about every time. Its unlikely he has a higher 2 pair as Kx is raising the flop. You're gonna be up against Q4, 74 or even just someone donk betting the river with like Q8 way more often then you're up against a hand that has you beat.

He's the BB so its completely random as to what he has.

pokerplayer24 summed up the 2 pair situation nicely

I'd raise/call and then reach through the screen and back hand-him in the groin when he shows down a pair of 4's

Thoughts:

I'm sure I raise the turn.

If he 3 bets, I call and call the river.

If he just calls and checks the river, I bet.

Pre-flop, flop and turn are fine. I think it's usually a bad idea to open-limp in six-max. Unless maybe it's a table where everyone seems to be seeing the flop and you've got a small pocket pair UTG or something.

What has you beat on the river? I'm raising this seemingly innocuous card. However, I'm still learning six-max, so it could be a leak, but I tend to think not.

I bet the turn after being checked to.
