well ok guess you did it now

As far as this hand goes i'm 3 betting this flop then leading the turn. The flop is really draw heavy and its fairly unlikely that you were outflopped here.

3 bet the flop if capped i'd just call down against all but the most aggressive players.

So yea you played it to passively.

With the flush draw out there the last thing I want to do is call this down. I 3-bet the flop and see how villain reacts. If he calls lead the turn. If he caps ... I guess I reluctantly call down. He's likely raising the flop with top pair - though I've seen donks do this with a flush draw too. Push hard now when we're likely ahead.

c/r the turn

Haven't read replies...

I'd say 3-bet the flop, lead the turn. The bettor in this hand probably has top pair.

I would pull the ole stop n go.
pokerplayer24
Whoever said checkraise the turn i'm not an overly big fan of it. For starters if this gets checked through its pretty terrible for us on such a draw heavy board. Not to mention checkraising the turn if we get 3 bet are we folding?

it was me.
In this small pot, I"m not as worried about the draws.
I'm just thinking of how we make the pot bigger with one card to come.
Yes I call a 3-bet.

I don't feel great about my ideas here.
pokerplayer24
Like I don't know, you could easily be correct here and I'm wrong.

Just with bottom 2 I always feel that its best to get the most money in on the flop as possible since as the hand goes on unless we boat up the strength of our hand decreases.
akishore
three-bet the flop, lead the turn, bay-bee!

Yeah, I like this more. Only 2 opponents, not too many bad cards can come, huge equity now. Get your bets in early when you know you're ahead.
Abbaddabba
3bet the flop and lead the turn.

can you imagine how horrible it would be if they checked behind on the turn?

a stop 'n go is better than trying to check/raise the turn, though it disgusts me for all other reasons. do you do this if a flush card hits though, and fold to a raise? you clearly do it if a non-flush non-board pairing card comes (and i assume if the J pairs, you check/fold)
Actuary
horrible advice earlier by Actuary.

Bottom two pair is very vulnerable, even on a rainbow flop

3-bet and lead turn.

He's been running so good lately, he forgets how to protect his vulnerble hands.

ps. how good? 7.9 BB/100 over 3300 hands at 6 Max. About to go to $1/2 6 max!

I don't understand the call.
What is the reason for not 3 betting?
There must be a reason... I'd like to know what it is?

I really don't understand this passive check-call.
Are you hoping for a cheap showdown?

Why are you playing this hand if you aren't willing to push when you hit?

I just want to point out that both Screech and Akishore agreed with me on this hand.

Maybe I don't suck after all. laugh.gif
