How's my line here? Flop raise was a must, IMO. How about the bet on the turn, and the check on the river?

Thanks.

you have to raise that flop. the turn bet is fine. i think im checking behind on that river as well. i cant see anything that should have been different. nh.

Perfect. And better table selection.

Bet/Call the river.

Take it from someone who has lost too much money not value betting.

8s, maybe check...

what???
Why are we all checking the river behind.

No worse will call ?????????
Or do we fear a c/r ?

The man might be onto something.

Maybe my cooter is exerting its influence, but I don't see a lot of hands that call us, and it'd be reaaaal easy to get C/R'd by any 7 here. Those calls are quite indicative of a 7, too.

I don't think it much matters either way.

I dont think we're ahead often enough. Worse will call, and so will better - and there are a variety of hands that check/raise.

A LOT of people saw that flop (4 plus you), and both ends of the one card OESD hit. There are also many two pair combinations that are checking but will call a bet.

it's a horrible board, and like abbaddabba said there are hands that have us beat and wouldn't bet but will call. I'd check here too. There not much that will pay us off but that we can beat.
Actuary
no one raised
no one bet the river

But we are likley not getting called by any hands we beat?

Are you all the same people that say don't bet AK HU on the river because villan will call down with any pair. Well.. won't these villans?

I really think we here from a straight or two pair by now.

given I'm the only one, I'll keep mulling this over.

I'm with Actuary on this one (are those pistachios?). Right or wrong, I'm betting this river last to act. There was a flush draw that missed, flop bettor could easily have bet that draw. No one's shown us *any* agression after our flop raise. Made straights will c/r the turn or bet the river more often than not. And I think we get called by any pair. This might actually be a spot to bet/fold the river for all you guys who are in love with that move, but I think I'm value betting/paying off.

Just my two pence.

I can see what you're saying but here is my thinking. There are 2 people in the pot, I'm definately putting one guy on a flush draw. Maybe he calls the river if has the 8s. Who knows what the other guy has but what kind of hand will he call a bet with that you can beat? If he has an overpair he played it pretty weak. If he played this hand all the way with J6 then yeah you missed a bet, but you should follow him around wherever he goes and make up for it.

Also this could be a good spot for someone with a 7 to try a check raise. OP raised preflop and on the flop and bet the turn. If he just hit his straight he may go for a check raise.

I might bet the river if these guys are calling stations, but this board just sucks.
