I got $110
LP has $9

LP raises to $3

and I see that he 35/20 which means that he raises 20 % of his hands. I put him on some junk.

I call in SB

everyone else folds

Flop: 9d 7d 5c

I bet $10 putting him all-in
LP calls

LP shows A8 and wins pot with ace high or something

I don't hit a king or queen

Do you like this play or am I just leaking chips ? I wouldn't have made the play if he had been a tight player .

You're advertising that you call with decent but somewhat marginal cards and then try to push around a shortstack that raised pre-flop?

Just fold pre-flop. It's really not worth it to play in this spot.

I'm folding preflop...only hands i'm playing with a 9 dollar stack who raises to 3 bucks is AA, KK, QQ, JJ, 10s, AK and probably AQ.
TJ_Eckleburg
I'm assuming you have KQo.

Fold KQo for a raise... especially out of position... especially heads up... especially in a small pot.

It doesn't matter that he raises 20% of his hands. It matters that you don't have a strong enough hand OR a good enough spot to push back against the average hand he raises with here.

I agree with TJ_Eckleburg. KQo is too weak.

If you really wanted to make a play, go in pre-flop so you take away your position disadvantage.

Did he have Ad8d?

In the future don't post the results, it can skew how people analyze your play.

Fold pre-flop.

I agree with all the above posters.

On a side note, KQ, KJ, AJ are REALLY bad hands to call raises with. You will lose a ton of $$ with these trap hands.
