It sounds like you are saying there is no need to ask because 83 is so weak he should auto-fold....wrong answer. At 3.5:1 and no stack considerations its an auto-call.
Tenesmus, your logic on the deep stack situation is correct, and you are also correct in the OP to
consider your limited implied odds given that the BB is pot committed.
The only way you can play here is if you have a very strong read that BB is trying to steal but preserve some chips if he gets called, in which case he may fold to an all-in. Thats a ballsy move, since his bet could also mean that he is trying to maximize the value of a monster by not chasing the blinds out. Absent seeing how hes played prior hands I probably fold with a small stack, and call with a controlling stack despite the limited implied odds created by his small stack.
