Im trying to learn O8 and have been playing it quite a bit lately, but am still confused about a few things, this hand really got to me because I was completly unsure how to play it, should I have called the raise pre flop? should I have called the big bets on the flop? I just dont know, Id appreciate any feedback and help on this hand though. Thanks.

Lots of good opportunities to fold this one starting preflop. There are very few playable combos in here and even when you hit a decent flop you're still left with a lot of difficult decisions as you pair is working towards giving someone else a low.
Beyond the preflop call you're still left with a tough choice even with a flop that hit you almost as well as you could hope for.

If you're in this hand, I think pushing on the flop is okay.
But you should not be playing this hand in general.

You were lucky to find the one time in twenty-five thousand that this hand will make money. Don't ever see a flop with it again. You'll lose.
Good Luck.

thanks, I wasnt sure if that was considered playable with the suited ace or not. I will keep it in mind.

I'll usually play any suited ace on the button in an unraised pot, but aside from that, these hands are not long term money makers.

SH I would play this hand, but not with a pot raise (was it?) in front of me.
