Daniel,
Thanks so much for your fantastic triple draw chapter in SS2. It is very well written and has fantastic practical advice for a full table.
That said, I have been having trouble in heads-up situations, which are common online because of the small number of players. Can you give us FCPers the upper hand with some tips on playing shorthanded?
Obviously you have to play more hands, and I find that having 3-8 is very good since 8's are usually enough to win, and the 3 avoids getting a str8. Raising frequently on the button seems natural, but is it right to do this with any two cards 8 or below? Straights don't occur often when you are drawing 8, so it is conceivable that it might be correct to raise with even 8-6-X-X-X. Howabout in 3 handed? I find that your SS2 guidelines tend to work pretty well in 4 handed or 5 handed with a few modifications.
Also, I don't believe that you can play shorthanded the same way as you would if players fold in front of you. The increased speed of paying the blinds forces you to loosen your starting requirements.
Anyone else with comments on heads up play?
