Hey Daniel, if you have a second would you mind giving us a rundown of the best of the props that all the guys take in the big game? Did the 3 card prop at my home game tonight, and that was pretty fun.

Also, in the 3 card prop (4-5-6 in your example), are 2 players allowed to overlap any of their cards? Can someone take 9-10-J, while someone else takes J-Q-K?

I was hoping you (or someone else) would describe the other props that can be made:

"There are stiff jacks, activations, on for doubles, triples, pairs, suits, and all kinds of nutty props that get added into the mix."

Huh? "Stiff jacks"? "On for doubles"? Et al....

And, now that you mention it, what happens if you have 4-5-8 and someone else has 4-5-10 and the flop comes 5-5-5. Do you both get paid from the other people in on the prop?

I was about to type in that that couldn't happen, because that would be five 5's. But then I realized I am moderately retarded.

Stiff Jacks:

Each player has a Jack of their own. if the Jack hits the flop, or the first three cards in stud you win a prop. If there is a card the same suit as your Jack next to it, you get paid more. If there is no suit next to it, it's considered "stiff."

Doubles and Triples:

If you hit a prop, then hit another prop right after that you are on for doubles, meaning if you hit another prop it pays double. Hit that one, and you are on for triples.

Flops where you both hit a prop:

If a flop came 4-4-4 you get paid for every prop that has a 4 in it. So if one guy has a prop in 4 of his props, and the other only two, he owes him two bets.

Lots, lots more, lol...

Wow, as you said it must take forever to figure it all out and pass the money around, not to mention staying on top of all your own props.

Anyway, thanks again. If you ever feel like devoting a blog to prop action or describing your favorites, it might be interesting. An interesting angle might be props with an edge...
