So much for the exclusively playing at the Wynn. There must be something in that agreement I don't get. Anyone know?

"Immediately after getting knocked out I headed straight for the poker room to play in the $4000-$8000 mixed game. It was the usual crew, Doyle, Chip, Ivey, Lyle Berman, David Benyamine, Jennifer, and Steve Weiss."

Isn't he allowed to play cash games at other casinos during tournaments (he did that in LA, didn't he?) ?

I have to admit I was wondering about this as well....

Shocked is being a little over dramatic, don't you think? Myself, I was just curious.

He seems happy to only have lost $4,000 in the big game. Is that what he considers a successful night now? laugh.gif

Wynn Las Vegas will have a new high-tech waiting list in its 25-table poker room, Wynn Las Vegas President Marc Schorr said Monday.

Instead of making poker players sign up on a paper list or a chalkboard, Wynn's list will be computerized. Players can sign up and wait in their rooms or in the casino for a page telling them their seat is open.

"Why should we have him standing there?," Schorr asked.

The poker room will have a solid VIP section for big-money games.

Canadian poker star Daniel Negreanu has been signed as the room's ambassador; he'll spend at least 200 days a year in the room, Schorr said

This was from an article by the Las Vegas Sun, doubt this will be even close to accurate.

There are plenty of rumors but I have never read anywhere that stated that DN can't play at Bellagio, especially the Big Game.

But only DN knows for sure, right?

Best...

He's supposed to play exclusively at Wynn except for poker tournaments, but there are exceptions.

I for one was extremely glad to see him at Bellagio.

Normally, you are not allowed to photos at Bellagio cash games - but I got an exception from Scott G. who was in a good mood.

That's just 54% of days. I'll take the wager up to $500 that he's close to that.

All I know is that when I'm at the Wynn (which is only twice a month) I usually see DN. In fact, it seems I see the poker room manager less! (because she's in meetings and stuff outside of the room)

Also, the Wynn is gearing up for tournaments (but still won't give me any details on any of the plans despite my swearing to secrecy). I know that they have the tourney chips ready, and I assume they are getting the staff and all the ogranization ready and right. They did a great job (i.e. LIVE poker tourney on TV!) for the FullTiltPoker.net tourney and that took months. I know that the Bellagio doesn't appear worried, but in 5-6 years I'd be concerned. The Wynn is still a relatively small casino and hotel. But, it is clear that growth is planned for.

If you are counting days since the Wynn opened, I would lay you 2-1 that he will not play at the Wynn 200 days out of this year.

Daniel was gracious enough to pose for a picture with me after his Friday poker session ended at 11am. Unfortunately, I don't know how to insert a pic on this post, or else you could all see my pretty face. Thanks, Daniel!
