Hi, any advice on how to read other players? Any advice on tells?

I have been watching a few games being played, to see if I could notice anything obvious about the players as they played the game, but I could not pick up a single tell or distinct feature - and I was watching amateurs. I have done this on a number of occasions and still cannot find any tells on the other players. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

For amateurs, the biggest tell I notice is that they look at their chips immediately after seeing a card that helps them, like "What can I bet here?"

You'll notice that when good players make really brilliant reads, they're not doing it because "he always twitches his left eyebrow with TT."

Paying attention to the betting and remembering the action on shown-down hands is far more helpful to put people on hands than scrutinizing utterly meaningless or vastly meaningful face/hand gestures.
