I checked the turn to try and get a check raise, oh well, I was behind anyways, had no idea, and the guy was a LAG, so I figured he may have caught the straight.

Hand 1:

Good.

Hand 2:

Bet the turn. Hopefully the LAG will raise.

Everything else looks good.

Both of these seem remarkably unremarkable...
Bet the turn in the second hand though.
If you lost either/both of these hands and that's
why you posted them, please refer to bad beat forum.

For hand 1...

Sometimes, if I'm in position and get 3-bet on the flop with top set (which is the nuts)...

I'll just call the 3-bet and hope he leads the turn. 2 BB on the turn for 1.5 BB on the flop and turn... and it makes flush draws call more unprofitably.

I'm letting him take the lead while I have position and the best hand. If you cap you can scare him away from betting the turn.

If he 3-bets the turn by the way THEN I cap.

Hand 2 is perfectly fine.

Hope he didn't show you 55.
