Full Version: kq vs a flop

Nutcracker
This is more of a general question and the situation comes up frequently enough that I think I might be leaking. KQo is a loser for me and it really shouldn't be..

I'm MP or maybe LP with KQo.
Preflop: A limper or 2, I raise, maybe 1 person behind me calls, along with 1 blind and a couple limpers.

This is an easy raise for value, right?

4 or 5 people to the flop -- Axx (not the same rags), no real draws for me.

Should I be check/folding this? If I get checked to, should I bet?

I really feel lost on these hands. Sometimes I'll bet, representing the ace, but it doesn't seem to work enough to be profitable, and when I do get called or raised, I'm virtually drawing dead. Sometimes I'll check it and it seems every time I do, Q high ends up winning the pot. It's really frustrating.

Any help on these types of hands is appreciated.

On a side note, I'm back to 1/2 finally after the 150BB downswing and I'm up 60BB in 150 hands tonight. I think I'm going pro (sw)

With 4 or 5 to the flop Im usually giving up if its checked to me, especially if Im not closing the action. 2-3 people and I will take a shot.

And yes this is an easy pf raise.
