Preflop: Hero is BB with [Ad], [Ks].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (6.40 SB) [5s], [Ac], [2h] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (4.20 BB) [Tc] (2 players)
Hero bets, Hero calls.

River: (8.20 BB) [6d] (2 players)

Anybody pumping this more? UTG+1 is 31% VPIP through 85 hands.

Definately just call down, nh.

I play it the same.

three-betting the turn is usually spewing, or denying your opponent a chance to spew.

i might bet out that river - is this a good place for the clarkmeister bet/fold? seems like it.

but more likely i'd check/call.

the answer to this question :
Anybody pumping this more?
is YES. although it might not be the right move. i'd guess 50% of players at 5/10 (although not necessarily at FCP) would reraise this turn. then they'd probably bet the river even if the turn got capped!

cheers

The most probable hand combinations are AK, AQ or 10,10. AK you chop, AQ you're 90% to beat and 10,10 you're drawing dead to.

If you 3bet the turn,

..you get called down by AK (irrelevent as you're both showing the hand down and chopping)

..you get called down by AQ virtually every time and win 1 more bet 93% of the time, lose 2 more bets 7% of the time when he calls the 3bet and improves at the river and raises your bet, which you always call.

..you get capped by tens and lose 2 more bets

..you get capped by AA and lose 2 more bets

..he's almost never semibluffing here

..if he's pulling this with a pocket pair between tens and aces (doubtful), he folds to a 3bet 90% of the time and checks behind on the river almost every time if you just call. if he just calls the 3bet, you bet the river every time and he always calls the river if he calls the turn UI. he improves 4.5% of the time and you lose 2 more bets since he raises every time with a rivered set. you call this raise every time.

Against AK, = 0
Against AQ, +1*(.93*1-.07*2) = +.79BB
Against A/A, = -2BB
Against 10/10, = -2BB
Against KK-JJ, = .1*(.95.5*2-.05*2) = +.09BB

KK-JJ are so close to even EV even when they occur and are so rare that we might as well ignore them in the calculation.

There are precisely 3 hand combinations that make up 10's. There are precisely 8 hand combinations that make up AQ, both suited and offsuit. There are each seem roughly as likely based on the action. There are 6 combinations of AK remaining in the deck, and they also play it it pretty much like this. There is one combination of AA in the deck, but it seems unlikely given that there was no cap preflop - i'd assign it half credit for it's number of combinations.

-2*.17 + -2*.03 + 0*.35 + 1*.45 = +0.05

That changes if you think that 10/10 or A/A are more likely to play it like this than AQ or AK, obviously. Saying they're equally likely relative to the number of hand combinations isn't 100% accurate. It is safe to say that all (except AA) play it exactly this way preflop.

There's no way you can fold on the river here I don't think. I might bet/call or check/call this, depending on his past aggression.

A10, AJ, A2s, A5s, 55, 22, KK, QQ, JJ. All very possible. He's got a 31% VPIP, loose...The guy could be making this play with Ax suited.

The guy might even be trying to bluff the hand with garbage thinking hero is trying to steal when it's folded around.

what abour raising the river bet?

if he has you beat, he'll most likely 3-bet, and you can safely throw away your hand. but if he has a weaker ace, you can win another bet here. you'd be winning the same amount if he was on a straight bluff. plus, you might get ak to fold.
