I have spent many hours doing research into HDTV and find it all very confusing. I have learned a great deal and know where and what to check further. I am bascially just asking for inputs and suggestions. I know the Pros and Cons the HDTV lineup like DLP,LCos,LCD and Plasma. I have a Max of $5k to spend.

I guess I am seeking imput from those who have 1 now or are planning to get 1in the near future; Like myself.

I am basically looking for a 50" HD set but not surew whether I want LCD,PLASMA OR DLP.

DLP = from what I have seen in person so this is not an opinion.DLP wins hands down as far as Black Level. DLP tends to have some "red push" and "rainbow" issues

LCD = They have size limits and the contrasts are not as good as DLP or PLASMA.

PLASMA = Small potential for burn-in but it is present nonetheless. GREAT Black Level with no red push or rainbow.

Any ideas ? I have kinda narrowed it down to these 4.

1...Sharp 45GX6U (1920x1080)1080p
2...Samsung HLR 5078W - DLP True HD resolution of (1920 x 1028) 1080p HDTV
3...Samsung HLR 5087W - DLP 720p HDTV
4.. .Panasonic TH-50PX50U - PLASMA 720p HDTV

Buy a normal T.V. and save the extra 4.3k for hookers/drugs/poker or whatever else suites you.

Wait 4 months.

Buy a 1080p compatible DLP.
