500 person MTT on UB.
Anyone agree or disagree with my play here?
I'm at about an average stack, with aout 160 players remaining. Top 50 pay.
I'm in the SB with A9o, blinds of 75/150
My read on YooperGirl isn't very extensive, but she seems to be a tricky player. In a previous hand, I think she outplayed my KK when an Ace flopped, and of course she has position on me.
----
FCPZachH: Ac 9s
YooperGirl: -- --
Pre-flop:
Everyone folds. FCPZachH calls. YooperGirl raises to 300. FCPZachH calls.
Flop (board: 4d 9d 8s):
FCPZachH checks. YooperGirl bets 600. FCPZachH
raises to 2400. YooperGirl goes all-in for 6950.
FCPZachH goes all-in for 4010. YooperGirl is returned
2940 (uncalled).
Note - at this point, to call her all in, it is only 1600 more on me.
Tournament all-in showdown -- players show:
FCPZachH shows Ac 9s.
YooperGirl shows X X.
Turn (board: 4d 9d 8s 5d):
(no action in this round)
River (board: 4d 9d 8s 5d Qh):
(no action in this round)
Showdown:
FCPZachH has Ac 9s 9d 8s Qh: a pair of nines.

Any thoughts?

BTW, the reason I am posting this is because she berated me because of the call.
I figured that I had the best hand, and if she had AA, KK, QQ, JJ, or TT, then I was just going to go broke here. But I really felt that she was trying to be tricky again.
I just want to see if it makes sense to anyone else.
Thanks.
Zach.

i think you have to be the preflop raiser, but other than that, i think it's ok if she's been aggressive in dealing with her blinds.
just so you know, it is POSSIBLE to fold to that all in, since you'd still have 9xbb, but i wouldn't do it. :-)
PS: i don't think that's "tricky," per se, but rather LAGgy.

i think you over-played the re-raise on the flop. no need to bet the pot. i think you can get more information from a more moderate raise. it committed you to heavily for that final call. say maybe 1500 raise. also you can wait to see what happens on turn and you're less likely to put so much money in on a losing hand.
i also think she's playing wild here. if she had a better hand made, she wouldn't be betting so hard, so soon.

Actually, I meant to mention that. I know I should have raised preflop. I think I did the old "Call 75" option and then switch to my Omaha game.

I think if I don't play it that hard that I may get pushed off my hand. If I were to bet out say 1500, and get reraised all in, a case could be made for folding TPTK in that situation. Although, I think you are right about her play being too aggressive for a made hand.

seeing as how the board filled both draws i put her on (JT and diamonds), and you're still in the tournament, wtf did she have? k9?

hahah definitely LAGgy.
i think you got a bit lucky with the raise. if not, you'd be giving up TPTK.

Here's the funny part.
She had 3s 5s.
