Im UTG with AKo i raise and get 4 callers. flop comes A K A and i bet out. Everyone folds. Winning me a mighty pot of 50 cent. (i was nutbarring on stars)

Didn't really think of it at the time but this morning i'v been thinking i played it wrong, i had a safe hand and thinking i should have checked rather than bet. But in betting i get money into the pot knowing im winning but maybe if i had checked would they have played into me giving me more action and a bigger pot in the end. Not really bothered either way, just the first time its happened and wondered what everyone thought.

What do you guys think? i know in betting i won but in checking i might have got a bigger pot. Anyway what do you guys think

depends on the opponents.
i personally would have checked the flop, but betting isn't wrong.

it's actually real close.

again, depends on who acts after you.

I am the biggest opponent of slowplaying ever....

But you can slowplay the flopped nut boat in hold'em.

In late position you can make a half-hearted bet that looks like a steal, but there's nothing wrong with checking this flop.

Sorry but i didn't have a read on the table, it was only about the 4th hand in and the players on those limits change a lot. The more i think about it the more i think i should have checked because i am winning this pot most of the time regardless of turn and river so checking is the option to take. Live and learn, Thanks for the advice.

There are far worse leaks in poker than "betting with a full house."

Just promise me you'll lead out with under full (55 on a K5K flop) every single time.
