Three others call also, and the SB raises with what ends up being A A J 7 (a hand that is hardly worth completing the blind) Obviously he isnt going to win the low or make a set of aces (as Baldwin says, people play hands with aces more than anything else) Anyways, I win the high and half the low with the other A2, and the guy with AAJ7 starts moaning about never winning with aces. To you sir, please don't read SS2.

Is there a book you would reccomend for those trying to learn how to play Omaha 8/b? I'm highly intrested in learning the game since the Omaha 8/b at the casino where I live is super soft (although filled with maniac players capping pre-flop with KK59).

Capeletti's book is one that I like, Lou Krieger's is great too(Mark Gregorich put a lot into that one, its generally accepted that Gregorich is one of the best 8 o/b players out there)

Yes, I'd look at Cappeletti's. Gregorich actually helped with the Omaha 8 section of SS2. By the way, you could show a healthy profit if the only hands you played when you went to a game such as the one you described were quality low hands. High hands (even something like QQA3 starts to lose value) will not work as well as normal in that kind of game. Playing hands that will often make nut low, and have some high possibilities, such as being suited, will lead to your tearing that game up.
