i wanted to raise the flop, but clown2 was pretty loose, and i didnt mind his calling with rags.

the turn, i felt I had at least a chop with clown1.... should i go for overcalls from clown2, or raise for value?

valuebet the river?

just wanted to see a few ways to play this... small pots are important.

Flop call is bad with 5 players. Just fold.

Turn card helps. Still no reason to raise. You're at best a split...
jayistheman
yeah.. i totally agree.

i have been misplaying really bad this session... although not bad to win on first session played in 4 months.

guess it was a good idea to move down to micro stakes... lol

Why would we raise?

There are no draws on the board.

Any hands we beat are drawing to 2 outs at best.

Any hands that beat us aren't folding.

to get it HU, fold a better A putting us on a 7, define hands from previous reads on villains, maybe pick up the pot, to get position on the original better.

The only people that fold are the people we have crushed.

No better ace is folding at these limits.

QUOTE

Raising is not defining our hand. SB defined his hand already by leading into 4 opponents. He has an ace or a 7. If he was bluffing, good job. Now we get him to fold and win the minimum. There is absolutely no reason to define our hand.

How does this help? He is either bluffing (unlikely), or we are splitting the pot at best.

i should have folded... i really don't like raising. my thoughts were that I may hear from a 7 later down the line if there are a few cold callers. i really don't want to raise and then get cold called on this flop... i minded it less on the turn when i was sure of a chop.

define villains holdings and fold another A on the river if it's checked through on the turn, I'm check/folding if more than 1 person calls and check/folding if anyone other than clown 1(original bettor) calls. raising this depends on your reads though. I like to pick up small pots in NL because they add up, I don't play TAG, I play LAG. My "advice/comments" for NL hands here usually gets looked over or people tell me that I'm wrong. I'm a winning NL player that doesn't play the same as the NL players that play here. I'll go back to not caring about this section of the forum because you people can't come down from your throwns. Good day.[/quote]

My mistake allin. I thought this was limit hold em.

Raising the flop makes a lot more sense now if we are going to continue with the hand. Disregard most of my previous comments.

I still think folding is best for most people.

i liked the fact that you gave input. screech was just looking for a debate, and i agreed with you.

talk to tall0n who posts there now, he'll be able to help you bypass it.

i think you raise here to define your hand. i think your goal in a hand like this is to represent a hand to other players and play off their reactions to your representations.

im a bad NL player, but i think a hand like this can be played simply, since you're either winning a small pot or spewing away a bunch of chips.
