aside:
crazy session so far. 60 hands, AA vs KK held up, QQ hit a set, QQ vs 10-10 and KK, A flops, KK folds, 10-10 calls down. nailed a straight and two flushes, and the above two hands. +34bb. yay short short term variance.

Hand 1: What are you afraid of after his turn check/call? The only hand that could have just outdrawn you is A4 (44 would have folded by then 99% of the time). Raise/call.

Hand 2: Only hand that beats you there is 99 (K9, K8, 88 raise before the river). Go for the reraise and call if capped. If you lose, you lose, but with an extra guy along for the ride it is definately profitable.

Hand 1; raise the river, call a 3bet.

Hand 2; raise preflop, raise river (especally since you are getting 2 to 1 from sfaught111).

Hand 1:

Raise, why would he check call with a hand that beats you on the turn? He makes 3 bets if he check raises the turn and bets the river with a hand that beats you, only 2 usually if he doesnt. Unless he has used some sort of thinking on a deeper level and knew we would raise his river bet so he could win 4! Wouldn't that be sexy (your average 2/4 dude doesnt think of this) raise/call

not much interest in this thread, so i'll just post results.

i did raise in the first hand, thinking along the lines of the last poster. he reraised and did have A6. thats just the result though, i still think raising there was the right play.

in the second i did not reraise, probably gun-shy from the last one. i think that was wrong because there were two players in, and the cold-caller was quite weak, so i was almost certain he was beat. couldn't really tell about the other player, but he was not loose at all, so certainly had a set for a full house or had a king - and if it was a king, probably KQ or KJ. given all that, i think a reraise was still in order, since my Q kicker was strong. i didn't reraise and the other guy had the krabler.
