The game is 1/2 NL Live.

New table just started 3rd hand in.

SB with 10 icon_suit_diamond.gif Q icon_suit_diamond.gif
EP raises to 5
4 callers
I call too

Flop K icon_suit_club.gif J icon_suit_club.gif 9 icon_suit_club.gif
I check
EP bets out 10 - and either he's FANTASTIC at hollywooding or he doesn't have the flush
Folds around to me. My read says I have the best hand.
I raise to 30
He thinks.... and calls

Turn K icon_suit_spade.gif
I think I'm still good. Sure KJ is a possiblity, but I still think I might be good. Its a cash game and so I gamble a bit.
I push 100$
He calls (All-In)

Me - 10 icon_suit_diamond.gif Q icon_suit_diamond.gif
Him - K icon_suit_heart.gif 10 icon_suit_spade.gif

River - 10 icon_suit_club.gif

Should I have check called down to the river? Or is putting him to the decision the correct play?

And what about just folding?

My thought process - his reaction on the flop indicated possibly AK with A icon_suit_club.gif . Therefore I think my check raise was a good idea and a good amount. A push on the turn is a small overbet but at this point in the hand I want him to call with how far ahead I am. I definitely was opening myself up to getting smacked down with KJ though.

Move in then.

Or you could fuck around untill you're beat the way you did by pricing him in.

preflop fold. You're hand is easily dominated... which as it turns out, it was.

Raise the flop more if you think he has any chance of top pair + flush draw. TP + flush draw will call you no matter what probably. Like smash said...you priced a flush draw with the small raise since there were so many limpers preflop.

You got perfect responses.

1. fold preflop
2. push on the flop

Out of position with a flopped straight is a flop you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT check.

And by the way... folding the flop is correct also.

You can't call raises with trap hands in bad position. For that matter, you should be suspect about doing it in late position.

QTs is a multiway, late position hand only, and rarely for a raise.

As for the flop... leading out is much better than a check-raise, I think. The turn was decidedly a bad card for you, and not one you should have pushed hard.
