Chicago Bulls traded Eddy Curry today, to the Knicks.

Full details won't come out till tommorrow... but they did it because he refused to take a DNA test to get a better idea whether his heart condition was serious.

LMAO... It's funny cause it's true!

But yeah...looks like we also traded Antonio Davis... and picked up Tim Thomas, Michael Sweetney, and Jermaine Jackson

Possibly some draft picks swapped also.

honestly can't see how this is good for either team. the bulls were starting to jell, now they lose a key cog....the knicks are just the definition of bad...needing to scrap the program and start over, after getting a new GM.

actually I don't think it's that horrible, bulls still got harrington and chandler is getting pretty good. You never know what you will get with the knicks but they could use a guy like eddy curry since they made that trade with phoenix
TraptSteve
True but seriously... the white sox will beat Boston!@

When I first read this earlier today I was pissed - not necessarily because we traded Curry, but rather because we picked up Tim Thomas. Definitely one of the softest 6'10 players to ever make it to the NBA. We should of just signed Curry to a less-than-max contract and taken our chances.

Just when I was getting excited about the Bulls again....

the problem with taking our chances is that if something did go wrong with curry, the organization would be left open for a massive wrongful death suit by his family. I don't think that the bulls were out of line at all in how they proceeded with curry becasue there was a lot at stake with his health

I heard Chi town offered to pay Curry 400K a year until he was 50 if he failed the test.

I fully agree that the bulls were not out of line by insisting on Curry take a DNA test. However, I may have missed something when Reggie Lewis died, but I do not recall the Celtics being sued over wrongful death. Even if this does not serve as precedent, the public nature of this dispute would be sufficient defense for the bulls if they were to be sued. What is strange about the trade is how fast it seemingly occurred, and how little the bulls received in return. I think the bulls could have received a lot more in return - perhaps Al Harrington from the Hawks at the very least...

It's kinda scary. I mean before last year every team out there would have taken him. But the ONLY team that made an offer on him this offseason was the Knicks.

At least that's what I read in a newspaper quoting Paxon.
