I just downloaded a (free) firewall by a company called Sygate. Has anyone used it? Do you have any idea how good it is?
I didn't have a firewall on my fucked up HD, and that may have been my downfall (didn't really need one at home - didn't know they didn't have one at college). Trying to protect my other one. Any advice is welcome.

I have never heard of it. But try BlackIce. It has been my favorite for a while now and it is a really good firewall.

Although I'd like to use either of those, I'm looking for free firewalls. Both of those you have to pay to use. Any idea what the best free firewall is?
