Good idea, SAM. I'm not playing tonight - superstition does not allow me to play saturdays.
Chris Rock Uncensored is on Comedy Central right now. I think it's his "Bigger and Blacker" show. If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest it.

Not much. Lost our softball game last night, but no biggie. I talked to the ump about strippers the whole time (yes, I'm going to stay as catcher) and he gave me the game ball (it was our final Summer Season game).
I have my first Fall league double header tomorrow.

From my reading
QUOTE (fryer98)
Dear Susan:
I know the counselor said we shouldn't contact each other during our "cooling off" period, but I couldn't wait anymore. The day you left, I swore I'd never talk to you again. But that was just the wounded little boy in me talking. Still, I never wanted to be the first one to make contact.
In my fantasies, it was always you who would come crawling back to me. I guess my pride needed that. But now I see that my pride's cost me a lot of things. I'm tired of pretending I don't miss you. I don't care about looking bad anymore. I don't care who makes the first move as long as one of us does. Maybe it's time we let our hearts speak as loudly as our hurt.
And this is what my heart says... "There's no one like you, Susan." I look for you in the eyes and breasts of every woman I see, but they're not you. They're not even close. Two weeks ago, I met this girl at Ithaca Bar and brought her home with me. I don't say this to hurt you, but just to illustrate the depth of my desperation. She was young, maybe 19, with one of those perfect bodies that only youth and maybe a childhood spent ice skating can give you. I mean, just a perfect body. Jugs you wouldn't believe and an azz like a tortoise shell. Every man's dream, right? But as I sat on the couch being blown by this stunner, I thought, look at the stuff we've made important in our lives. It's all so superficial. What does a perfect body mean?
Does it make her better in bed? Well, in this case, yes. But you see what I'm getting at. Does it make her a better person? Does she have a better heart than my moderately attractive Susan? I doubt it. And I'd never really thought of that before. I Don't know, maybe I'm just growing up a little.
Later, after I'd tossed her about a half a pint of throat yogurt, I found myself thinking, "why do I feel so drained and empty?" It wasn't just her flawless technique or her censored, shameless hunger, but something else. Some niggling feeling of loss. Why did it feel so incomplete? And then it hit me.
It didn't feel the same because you weren't there, Susan, to watch. Do you know what I mean? Nothing feels the same without you. Jesus, Susan, I'm just going crazy without you. And everything I do just reminds me of you.
Do you remember Carol, that single mom we met in Upper Side last year? Well, she dropped by last week with a pan of lasagna. She said she figured I wasn't eating right without a woman around. I didn't know what she meant till later, but that's not the real story. Anyway, we had a few glasses of wine and the next thing you know we're banging away in our old bedroom. And this tart's a total monster in the sack. She's giving me everything, you know like a ! real woman does when she's not hung up about her weight or her career and whether the kids can hear us. And all of a sudden she spots that tilting mirror on your grandmother's old vanity. So she puts it on the floor and we straddle it, right, so we can watch ourselves. And it's totally hot, but it makes me sad too. 'Cause I can't help thinking, "Why didn't Susan ever put the mirror on the floor? We've had this old vanity for what, 14 years, and we never used it as a sex aid."
Saturday, your sister drops by with my copy of the restraining order. I mean, Vicky's just a kid and all, but she's got a pretty good head on her shoulders and she's been a real friend to me during this painful time. She's given me lots of good counsel about you and about women in general. She's pulling for us to get back together, Susan...she really is. So we're drinking in a hot bath and talking about happier times. Here's this teenage girl with the same DNA as you and all I can do is think of how much she looked like you when you were 18. And that just about makes me cry. And then it turns out Vicky's really into the whole anal thing and that gets me to thinking about how many times I pressured you about trying it and how that probably fuelled some of the bitterness between us.
But do you see how even then, when I'm thrusting inside your baby sister's cinnamon ring, all I can do is think of you? It's true, Susan. In your heart you know it. Don't you think we could start over? Just wipe out all the grievances and start fresh? I think we can.
If you feel the same please please please let me know, otherwise, can you let me know where the remote control is?
Brian

No. But the student manager that called me (a friend of mine), called twice (I ignored the first one and the second one annoyed the hell out of me) and I pretty much yelled at him. I don't feel bad about it. I sent the big manager an email on monday. It's her goddamn fault that she didn't find anyone to replace me.
Even if I was in trouble, I wouldn't care. They can't afford to fire me and if they did, I don't need the job.

a trip report. hmmmm. haha... that would require me to actually remember.
hmmm. see the alcohol poisoning statement in the regular thread! haha!
not much happened. i turned it into a complete drunkfest. except when playing poker. they waitresses wouldn't come around fast enough! haha!
here's a quicky, as far as poker goes.
day 1: arrive 7ish local time. Commence drinkfest with my buddy. around 11ish, he goes to bed as he needs to get up for the class he was attending, i hit the poker room.
i'm not really all that good at poker, plus heavily drinking, but fu
ck it. i sign up for $1/2 nl at MGM, where we are staying. play till 4am. I'm up $500!
so, didn't want to wake up buddy, so i head to excaliber, play $1/2 nl and proceed to loose 200 to a fu
ckstick calling station that calls a $50 reraise with me holding 2 aces, he has 9-3. original raiser folds. flop 9-3-5. turn Q, river 10. i lose. i wanted to kill him! but eh. still up $300.
go back to mgm and drink and flirt with the cocktail waitress and run up a $200 bill.
So for the day, up $100.
Day 2 to come.

day 2: wake up around, after going to bed around 8am, 10 am. commence drinking. spend the day walking around, drinking, enjoying the sights.
buddy gets out of class at 4. he wants to gamble, but doesn't know any games. doesn't even know blackjack. ARGH! so the easiest game to teach him is roullette. play roullette and drink with my buddy till about 12, lose $400.
buddy goes to bed, i hit the poker room at the mgm. play $1/2 till about 9am. nothing really interesting. all told, up $100 for the night at poker.
Day 3: snag 5 hours sleep and then start drinking. (notice the trend).
Get a couple of texts from someone i am trying to forget, commence drinking heavily now.
go to centrifuge where that cutie waitress was, spend the rest of the night hanging out there, flirting with the chick. Buddy joins up and drink more.

Day 4: get up, commence drinking. Decide to play some table games. spend the whole day walking around mgm trying all the different games. 3-card poker, craps, blackjack, let it ride, baccarrac, and some game i still don't get pai-gow poker. drinking the whole time!
down $800 for the day.
after buddy gets out of class, back to centrifuge, and ring up a $400 bill between the 2 of us.
Day 5: get up, commence drinking and take my buddy around to the different casinos cause he wanted to see them. Went to Imperial Palace, Bally's, Harrahs, Wynn, Palms, Ny Ny and them mgm for more drinking at centrifuge and then back home.
That's about it. Except at the Wynn, my buddy and i are sitting at "the bar" overlooking the casino. Booker's and water for me, jack and coke for him. There's a roulette table right there that we are watching. and for no particular reason, i say, the next number is gonna be 16. my buddy laughs and says then go put 100 on it. i say ok as it was more of a dare than anything. so, i get up and walk to the table and was just about to put my money down when the chick running the table waves off any more bets. SHIT! And you can get the number that comes out. 16! FUCK!

Usually if you tip them well, you can find a good one. We had the best waitress ever at the Rio. We told her right up front that we wanted the vodka tonics to just keep flowing and that if she never let our glasses get empty, there'd be a 5 in it for her every round. I never saw the bottom of my glass. There were 4 of us so it worked out to paying $1.25 per drink which is pretty damn cheap.
