I would have bet the turn and tried to cap it, you would have still had at least one bet called and maybe more. Or, you could have just had them lay down after the 2nd round of betting if they caught on.
Either outcome, you would have made at least as much off the hand as you did and possibly more.

The river is not consistent. What happened to UTG? He bet the turn, and then just seems to dissapear from the hand on the river.

In any case, I would have checked on the river. If you are beat by a straight or a flush, you are just wasting your bet. The board is a bit too dangerous to bet here.

i dont know what happened to him, the converter must have messed up. He folded to my river bet. So you think I should be capping this turn if possible?

Betting the river is fine though a turn raise would have been better

Check/raise turn

if reraised: call and check/call river
if call: bet/call river

Get the money in as much as possible on the flop to gain the lead on the turn. Three people in the pot and you have a much better than 1/3 chance that you are ahead in the hand. Slow down to a turn raise, even though that is also likely someone catching their second pair to stay second best.

Why?

If it gets 3-bet, you are likely drawing to 10 outs.

Check/raise turn

I think this may be our best option. IMO, it is more likely SB has a flush than UTG. If it goes check-check-bet-raise-we can simply call. If it SB calls UTG's bet, we can raise with confidence we likely have the best hand.

Oops, saw one of those flop hearts as a diamond for some reason.

I concur, except that if your turn check-raise is reraised by a passive player, and you don't get your boat on the river, check-fold it.
