$2/$4 hold 'em with a kill, ten-handed

i just killed the pot, so this hand is $4/$8.

i post a blind of $4 on the button and am dealt 8 icon_suit_diamond.gif 5 icon_suit_spade.gif .
EP1 calls, EP2 calls, ..., MP2 calls, ..., CO calls, i check, SB calls, BB folds.

(6 SB) Q icon_suit_heart.gif 8 icon_suit_spade.gif 5 icon_suit_heart.gif
SB checks, EP1 bets, i cold-call, SB folds, EP1 calls, EP2 calls, MP2 calls.

EP1 is a donkey. semi-bluffs and bluffs a lot.
CO is a fish, passive mostly... i have no numbers though.
no real reads on rest of table, though the table is mostly loose/passive.

(8 BB) A icon_suit_heart.gif
EP1 bets, EP2 calls, MP2 calls, CO folds, i call.

plan for river:

heart - folding to one if i'm overcalling, folding to one if not closing the action, folding to two. calling one only if i'm closing and not overcalling.

A/Q: same as heart.

8/5: you know the drill.

bricks: no idea. help? probably calling one, folding to two cold or to a raise behind me.

Seems fine to me. Only question is why not 3 bet on the flop? With bottom 2 I want to cut the field down pretty quickly.

Turn cards awful. Dont think you can do much more then call one on the river with that board and so many hands in.

a three-bet doesn't protect against much. if i call, CO is more likely to bet the turn. i can then raise on good turn cards (this was clearly not a good turn card) and now protect my hand much more effectively. my equity edge is also higher now if i assume i'm ahead.

How wouldnt a 3 bet on the flop limit the field. Mid and low pps are either folding or putting in additional $. gutshots like J10, J9 or 109 are facing a possible capped flop and will likely fold.

When you're playing a flop 5 handed with bottom 2, how many cards can be considered a good turn?

most non-hearts that don't pair the board. that's a good portion of the deck.

I agree with the flop 3-bet actually. When CO raises in front of you it gives you a grand opportunity to protect your hand putting 2-cold to the field.
