I don't play a lot of short handed, but I don't think I'd be raising with 4-4 from the SB, seeing as I would have to act out of position the whole hand. As it stands, good cap on the turn. Good bet on the river. Good call on the flop.

Yes. Make money by folding 44 to EP raiser in limit. You are usually drawing to a set only and not worth the money. At least your three-bet is better than cold calling, but I have learned to drop this hand without even thinking about it and my BB/100 has gone up.

EDIT: I do notice it is 4 handed now, but still you are out of position and sitting on a tiny pair pre-flop.

if he has 99 do you lose too much betting out on this flop?

Pretty standard on a set. Bet it out, get raised, then pop it up again on the turn. You gotta be sure they will bet though if you are going for the c/r. Otherwise it is a bad miss of a bet.

I would have played it the exact same way on all streets.

Oversets, flushes, and straights on your baby sets happen. Doesn't change the fact that baby sets are HUGE moneymakers in hold'em and you should get a lot of money in with them.

Quick question I was thinking about... I think I like the 3-bet preflop... but after the cap... are you leading into any flop willy nilly? I kinda think you have to if you 3-bet it. That or c/r a ragged flop and c/f a bad one.

preflop is damnnnn light. waaay light. this is an easy fold in my book.

flop is close. i think a bet is good against aggressive players. you're not usually losing KK-TT here, they will usually raise.

so, i guess postflop looks good.

yea i figured id get some negative responses about my pre-flop play, but four handed he could be raising ANY pair, so if he has 8-8 and i reraise with 4-4 and the flop comes A-J-2 and bet out, im going to win that pot often. But maybe it is a little too loose, but its either raise or fold in that spot....i chose raise lol. thanks for your advice.
