i post as copy there
anyway if you don't wanna read, i tell some guy that a PF complete from the sb with QQ45o was bad (PLO), and I get basically the entire forum, including some guy who plays 10/20 PLO, telling me I'm insane.
anyway, after reading here and elsewhere, it seems that your vpip from the sb and ep should be pretty close to 0, is this a big leak in my game?

I used to complete with just about anything from the small blind in ALL forms of omaha, but have since learned the error of my ways. PLO is all about position, and regardless of the hand you hold, you won't have it if you play. Now, I am not saying to fold your suited aces and the like, but am saying that completing/calling a raise from the SB with mediocre holdings is usually not a good idea. 8)

I'd complete with that hand in the small blind. Granted, it's usually just 10 or 50 cents more to me, but it seems like you are getting pretty good odds if the pot is unraised. I think it's almost like limping in hold 'em with a pocket pair pre-flop from the small blind.

I'm no expert, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Please ignore, I thought that you were referring to Omaha Hi/Lo. I have no experience with Omaha Hi.

I used the exact same analogy a few months ago in answering a similar question, and was shown the error of my ways. 8)

whether one should complete from the sb is entirely game-dependent in plo.

in most tight-ish games, it's a super bad idea to get involved OOP with pretty much anything.

in most aggressive games, however, getting into the pot cheaply with a big-ish pair is easily played post flop as a no set, no checkraise. if you've got a guy on the button who will try to scoop up EVERY pot to a checked flop (these are quite common at the 5/10 plo games at UB that i've been playing recently), then by all means, complete. you're getting healthy implied odds.

these types of hands can be QUITE profitable OOP in aggressive plo games if played properly. the danger, just like in HE, is that you get wedded to them too easily. if you get over that, you're fine completing big-ish pairs from the sb.

Will you bestow me the same gratitude? I don't know if you saw, but that post was directed for Omaha Hi/Lo. In Omaha Hi I'm pretty sure I'm mucking that hand. As far as Omaha Hi/Lo, the hand does have two wheel cards and a big pair that could potentially scoop, as long as you hit the flop right. Granted, this won't happen very often, but if you don't hit the flop it seems like a very easy hand to get away from, and you don't really invest much to see the flop.
