Kipper played fairly well and made a couple of awesome saves. The Calgary D sucked it big time though! Sutter can't be a very happy camper!

I think it will be fine, Sutter will kick some ass, the veterans will step it up, and their opponent won't know what hit them. Either that, or I'll be sitting on the bench for the rest of the contest. Even if I could change my pick, I don't think I would. I'm just less confident now...

I'm not picking Tampa over Florida because they'll probably split the home and home series. Plus Luongo may be starting the season in a groove and Florida just beat Tampa in the preseason.

The Minnesota Wild looked good! I think they may be able to beat both Phoenix and LA on the weekend and start the season 3-0.

Betting on hockey is hard! :-)

That is correct! My reasoning is that the Wild will be playing late on Saturday night and then travelling to LA for the game the next night. LA will have had a couple of days off.

I decided on a volatile pick for this week. I figure I'm either out this week or I get a pick for a worse team out of the way early, so I can pick top tier teams when they have weak opponents.
