Why would you get either? I'm being serious here. Don't they both pretty much suck?

Gordon's book is actually pretty good. Less about strategy, and more about being a pro player. Also, it has good stories about him and the "Tiltboys" in it.

Don't buy either?
Use the points to get into a tournament... YOU DONT WANT A BOOK WRITTEN BY EITHER PHIL.

Hellmuth has such a bad limit hold'em section you are better off learning on your own. Although this is probablly the worst part of the book it has alot of other flaws in it. I can't imagine Gordan having any worse of a book.

Depends on what you want from the book. To learn poker, then neither, lot of better choices out there.
Gordon's book is a pretty nice read though.

My wife bought me Gordon's book for my birthday. I read about half of it while travelling last week, pretty good read from what I have gotten through thus far.
One thing you might want to do with your PSO points (since I'm a cheap bastard and priced it out) is look at getting an Amazon gift certificate and buying the books through there instead. Based on the books I was interested in at the PSO store and their price at eBay, the gift certificate would go a bit further than buying the books with PSO points.

Very good point as a great way to buy the books.

Hellmuth's teachings are geared towards the neophyte poker player...not worth the money.
