3/6 stud hi-lo
Hand one,
I have AA-K I raise and get called by a 3 and the 2 bring-in.
4th street: me: AA-K4
player 1: xx-4 8
player 2: xx-2 5
I bet, both call
5th street: me: AA - K 4 A
player 1: xx-3 8 6
player 2: xx- 2 5 3
Now I don't put player 2 on a straight because I think he would have played it more aggressively on 4th, so I bet, player 1 raises, player 2 makes it 3 bets, I call, player one caps.
6th street: me: AA-K 4 A 10
player 1: xx-3 8 6 6
player 2: xx-2 5 3 9
player 1 bets, player 2 raises and is all in, I call, player one three bets and I call.
7th street: me: AA-K 4 A 10 - K (I'm thinking YES, because now I know I'll get half of this huge pot)
now player 1 bets into me, and I call since I figure he's got a low anyway. Nope! He's got quad 6's and I lose. That sucked. Player 2 has a 7 and takes the low.
I don't really see how I could have gotten away from my trip aces in this hand, though maybe on 6th when he caught the 6 I should have put him on at least a full house, since otherwise there's no way he would bet into player 1 who figures to have him killed on the low side. Would have been one hell of a tough lay down though.
Hand two:
I have : 3s Js-6s (other up cards are 3 sevens, a 9, K, Q, and 5, with one spade)
9d on my right raises, I call, and 5c bring-in also calls. (maybe this is a loose call for me, but I've seen this player raise with lots of marginal hands, also, judging from the other up cards, it didn't figure to get re-raised behind me)
4th street: me: 3s Js-6s 5s
player 1: xx-9d 8c
player 2: xx-5c Ah
player 2 checks, player one bets, I raise, player 2 calls, player one 3 bets, I call, player 2 caps, 2 calls. (I wanted to represent strength to get player 2 out if he catches a high card on 5th, I'm a bit worried about his cap though.)
5th street: me: 3s Js - 6s 5s 4h
player 1: xx - 9d 8c Jd
player 2: xx - 5c Ah 10c
player 2 checks, player 1 bets, I raise, player 2 folds (YES!), and player one calls.
6th street: me: 3s Js - 6s 5s 4h 8s (a perfect card for me)
player 1:xx - 9d 8c Jd Jh
player 1 check-calls and then calls on 7th too and I scoop the pot with my flush. So that huge pot made up for the one I lost earlier, and I ended the day pretty much even.
Hope you enjoyed. Any comments on how I played these hands?
