i don't think this is a strong enough hand to play at hi/lo. in the future, i will not play it.

now my hand looks quite good - i figure my kings to possibly be the best hand right now, and i have good draws. no other player has strong flushes, lows or any pairs on their board.

now i don't know what to do. both players behind me seem to be going for lows and received low cards, so i assume one will bet it and i won't give away a free card by checking.

i make my hand, and its disguised. i know straights are not overwhelmingly strong in stud, but there are no likely flushes or full houses, although they could be disguised. i believe a low will bet, and once it comes around to me unraised, i figure to be getting half of the 4-way pot, and so i raise.

I fold the first two hands on third street, that is all the advice I give. I find that a pair of Kings will rarely scoop the entire pot and you are usually playing for only half the pot...you don't want to do that, fold

Play to scoop, play to scoop, play to scoop.

There must be something wrong with my computer, because I can't see your opponents Up-Cards... :?

thanks for the advice. i know, scoop scoop scoop, but even with split kings? i certainly see the logic behind folding, its just hard.

i think i will be only go for the high with aces and another low card, and with 3 high suited cards, so long as they are somewhat connected (i.e. not with 9, J, A) and of course with trips.
just tough to fold those kings and queens though.
