Full Version: shitty betting getting me in trouble..

Hope this isn't too general, but I have a real problem on Ultimate bet, and I just realized what it is tonight.

I bet like a ****ing donkey. I always just hit "bet pot" like a lazy ****, and end up investing WAY too many chips. I've been having a shitty run of tourniments, where I always have a goodish amount of chips about 30 people away from the money, and always bust out about 15 people away from the money. I don't have a problem with not broomcorning my way into my buy in back, but I've been crashing and burning so much, that I've had to re evaluate my play. And I think I'm risking WAY to many chips with my pot sized bets. When I'm forced to fold, 'cause it's a bluff, I lose a TON. And when I'm forced to call when I have a medium stregth hand, 'cause of the pot odds my shitty betting has created, I lose even more.... I think I need to start making more half pot to 2/3rd sized pot bets, rather than commiting so many chips with the pot sized bet. I wish that ****ing button didn't exsist, so I would stop hitting it.

I generally like 2/3 the pot bet, you are almost always getting the draws to pay to much money, and you are saving that 1/3 of the pot if someone comes over the top and you have to fold.
