Is checking behind bad?

I was planning on calling if bet into on the river, unless a queen or another ten fell, in which case i'd raise.

If it was checked to me again, i'd probably bet virtually any river card.

a) give the bets in terms of xbb and the pot size.

cool.gif getting check-raised isn't the end of the world, and it's not going to happen as often as you think. Chances are that 10 was just as scary to him as it was to you. For example, he could be playing that hand the exact same way with JJ, AKs, 56s, 57s, etc. Bet it.

??

this is limit, and the pot sizes ARE in terms of SB/BB.

being checkraised isn't the end of the world, but if you suspect your opponent will do it with both hands that you beat and hands you don't (meaning betting and folding to a checkraise is bad), then checking is correct. this way, you lose the minimum to a 10 and can sometimes induce a bluff from air hands also.

this becomes wa/wb on the turn, checking >>> betting.

A checkraise on that flop seems more likely than anything else to indicate a 10.

It's definitely not the only thing it could be.

There definitely are other possibilities, but i think that a most of the other probable hands are pocket pairs that either have him drawing to 2 cards, or that im drawing to 2 cards (unlikely).

AK is really the only reasonable hand that he could hold that im particularly vulnerable to. By that i mean, less than a 90%+ favorite to win.

Im missing value against low pocket pairs, but if i check the turn, ill definitely get a bet out of them on the river - which i may not have on the turn had i lead out.

I also could potentially induce a bluff on the river.
