fold flop
fold turn w/ SB left to act

I might not bet a diamond on the river...

congrats on winning with the flush.

I think that if there weren't any callers between the bettor and myself, i'd consider raising. With 2 callers, i'd just fold the flop. It's questionable whether you have the best hand and even if you do, you can't defend against three other hands who you're extremely vulnerable to. The pot isn't even that big.

I fold this flop. Your outs aren't clean and you're overcalling a bunch of players.

Also, what Actuary said.

this flop is begging to be folded. Way too many people to even want to draw to your crappy flush. HU is a little different story
Mattnxtc
easy fold....looking at it straight from an outs perspective you have 5 solid outs....but 2 of those are tainted as they complete any flush...so 3 outs are mostly clean though u help to open up more draws if u hit a 5...only the 3 icon_suit_club.gif is the greatest card so thats one great card and 2 suspect card still...so why put money in like that?

turn is tough b/c u do open up some outs if he doesnt hold a diamond...if he does hold a diamond u are drawing to 3 outs still and u arent even close to having the right odds...

moral of the story..fold the flop

Fold Flop....I think I was playing at this table....lol. I wasn't involved in the hand though smile.gif

Playing at Aseem's table? Must be juicy! laugh.gif

alright.

i wasn't calling on the flop to chase my backdoor flush, i hope you guys do realize that. :-)

also, overcalling on the flop is completely irrelevant and unapplicable. overcalling applies to river situations.

i was getting 9-to-1 on the flop call with middle pair. i estimated my hand at about 3 - 4 outs, and i felt that it was enough to peel.

on the turn, i was getting 6.5-to-1, and everyone else had folded. i figured i might be drawing live to a flush, and for all i knew, i might also be drawing live to a 3 or sometimes a 5. i only needed about 10 partial outs to make calling correct.

i admit that the pot wasn't big.

and yes, LOL, i did win when the river brought a fourth diamond, he checked and i value bet. he called and mucked... too bad i can't see what he mucked on pacific. then the berating olympics began, haha.

i'm willing to concede that i may have been a little fishy, but i think it's at least a little closer than what you guys are making it out to be. or maybe i'm just a donkey, who knows. :-)

Nevermind, I wasn't at your table. I thought you were playing at Party. Still....FOLD FLOP PLEASE. It is ok to fold Aseem. smile.gif
LaydownKing
I don't see any other way to play it.

Just a note though, not overcalling does can apply on earlier streets, i.e., if you have KK and are bet into on an A-high board, you usually shouldn't be overcalling there.
Chiggleslap
I don't think there's much justification for calling on the flop.

You're on very shaky grounds calling this flop.

Sorry for the non-math response, but you should know what I mean.

haha if ur opponent posted that hand we were all be yellin at him to put it in the bad beat section...You got very lucky...I wouldnt recommend this hand as a normal course of action...Im not sure that any book will ever justify callin with a 5 high flush draw as being profitable...but hey..im willin to sit at ur table if u want to continue that action laugh.gif

i do hope next time u fold this though...
