I am CO with A icon_suit_club.gif Q icon_suit_club.gif

6 limpers, I raise to 8.00, blinds fold, 4 callers.

Flop: 5 players ($43.00) 6 icon_suit_club.gif 6 icon_suit_spade.gif 5 icon_suit_club.gif

UTG Checks, MP1 Checks, MP2 raises 85.00, MP3 goes all in for 75.00, Hero ???

Reads: MP2 is a calling station type of player. He usually bets this way when he has a hand that he feels can be beaten, so he wants to pick up the pot with that bet, he did not like the all in call from MP3. From experience playing with him, he wouldn't have made this bet with quads or a FH. I think I am looking at pocket 10's or Jacks.

MP3 is an overly agressive player who would do this on a variety of hands. My read was he either had hit a set with the 6, or had a middle pocket pair or flush draw. I could tell he didn't have the full house, but he wasn't weak either. He was also a little tilted, because the cards just had not been going his way most the night. I am very confident in both of my reads on these players, exp MP3 because he is my nephew and I have played way to much poker with him.

At this point, my stack is 250.00 or so and I ask MP2 how much he has left. He looked nervous that I asked, and responded with around 60.00. I know that if I call here, that 60.00 is going in on the turn regardless of cards. So really I am looking at a 140.00 bet. The other 2 players in the pot look very anxious to muck their cards. What I am trying to figure out is if my A or Q are good if they pair up or not. I am not sure if I can count them as outs or not. Otherwise I feel like I am looking at a 9 outs to the best hand.

How would you play it?

After a few responses and discussion, I will post the results.

Scenario a)

You put him all-in and put in a $145 bet to win a $400 pot.

I'm going to take away two of your flush outs, and only give you credit for 3 overcard outs, (probably fairly realistic) as it looks like you're up against a hand like A-6, K-6, 67s etc. plus an overpair.

That gives you a total of probably 10 outs, with the the pot laying you 3.65.

hmmmmmmm

I wasn't sure if my overcards were outs at all. If anyone has a 6 I have no overcard outs (barring runner/runner), so I would be needing a flush.

I don't think I am up against KK here, because neither of these 2 players limp those preflop. With Q's or better they were both raising 15+ preflop, so I can't put them on A's K's or Q's and it's unlikely they have jacks considering how they both play. 10's and other medium overpairs seem like definite possibilities though.

So in a cash game where I am pretty conident in my reads, and thinking I have just the flush as a definite winner, is this a call/push/fold?

Based on your reads I probably put MP2 all-in here - I think you've got at least 9 outs here no matter how you look at it, and possibly 11.

Either MP3 has a 6, eliminating your AQ overcards, or he's got something like 7c8c (with 3 limpers in front of him and the blinds to act, this is viable), eliminating 4 of your club outs, but bringing back in your 6 overcards.

You're at least 2 to 1 to hit your hand - you're betting $145 to win $300ish...or, if MP2 folds, $85 to win $230ish.

Based on your reads and his preflop limp/call, could MP3 have 55 here? Could either make these preflop or flop bets on A5?

I'm thinking 77--99 is likely for MP2 and a flush and/or straight draw is likely for MP3 - I MIGHT push here.

However, if you call you might just induce UTG or MP1 to call based on pot odds - and since you are drawing (there is no way you are winning here) you want as much money in the pot to payoff your bet.

They might stick around for a gutshot or idiot straight with the $85 bet...they look anxious to fold, but maybe not....with $300 in the pot, a call of $85 might not be so unattractive depending on their cards.

If you're convinced those two will fold, push - if you think they might come along for the ride, call. It's not likely they're drawing to a boat, or anything that beats your draw.

I went into the tank for a minute, and decided to call.

UTG & MP1 both race each other to muck.

Turn - Q icon_suit_diamond.gif

Mp2 checks to me. There is a main pot of 268.00, and a side pot of 20.00. I put out about 70 more setting MP 2 all in, he calls, and I get worried.

MP2 flips over pocket 9's, MP3 flips over pocket 8's. River is a 2 of icon_suit_heart.gif

I scoop both pots. Results were great, I am just not sure about the call on the flop, thats why I posted it.
