Just interested to see what movie trilogies everyone likes the most.... The most common answers are always the original 3 Star Wars movies and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, so I will leave those out of the argument. So what other ones do you guys/gals like?

Obviously the "Air Bud" Trilogy. That thing was awesome.

I can't think of many trilogies that I've seen besides the two you mentioned. Because trilogy means only three.

But movies that had at least three that were really good. Rocky, Jaws(4th one was horrible).

it has to be the godfather trilogy. you have the best two movies ever, and then it gets wrapped up by a strong third act (though not nearly as strong as the other two). but, the same can be said for other movie trilogies (jedi sucked, return of the king was long winded and dull, matrix revolutions was horrible). i think i will stick with the michael corleone saga

I say we change the topic to "best movie series" because that would open it up a lot more.

I love the Back to the Future trilogy, great movies for the era they came out. The Matrix series really went downhill after the first one....Terminator 3 was so bad it's unthinkable.

And what I think is the greatest trilogy of movies of all-time, Sergio Leone's spaghetti western trilogy: A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. The Good the Bad and the Ugly is one of the 10 best movies ever made, period. Probably top 5.

"Back to the Future" was a good one.

me and some buddies were at premier video one time getting some movies and video games and one of them wanted to rent a porn also. So we go searching for the porn section and can't find it, but we do find the "late night" section. That was filled with the most retarded softcore porn ever. So as soon as a family walks by with about 6 kids my buddy goes off on a rant about how they need a real porn section at premier, we're talking a level 9 voice and bitching about why they don't have the new ass fucking 5 DVD in. Then one of the kids started to cry and the dad went off on all of us. At that point in time I told him to shut the fuck up and to quit bringing his kids up in a perfect world. My buddy then tells the kids that there is no easter bunny or santa clause. I also have no idea why I am telling this story but it just popped into my head when I read yours and kdawgs post.

The first American Pie wasn't bad, Scary Movie 1 was OK, but the rest of the trilogies were absolutely horrific.

Christ! We forgot about Lethal Weapon! 4 is so bad, that it doesn't exist. How many Robocop movies were there? I know 2 for sure, but I wouldn't be suprised if there was a godawful 3rd one thrown in there.
