i may be retarded, but i couldnt find an offtopic forum, so im posting here. I'm assuming that a bunch of you gotta bet sports, i mean it does go hand in hand with poker for a lot of people. Anybody else have a killer day today?
Started off taking Zambrano and the Cubs, followed by Ohio State for the noon games...both were layups. Followed that by takin bc, georgia, and the georgia over, first 2 were layups and seconded was a nice close victory. Got the juices flowin. Finished everything up by takin the Notre Dame over and the San Fran Giants with Lowry pitchin. As i type this, every single one was a winna, except the giants for now (they are leading 9-3 top 8th as i type this). Ive never started a football season undeafeated with this many plays in a day, so yeah im excited and i'm patting myself on the back on this forum.
Who else was in action today? And how did ya do?

today wasnt a bad day at all. started with iowa, bc, georgia and usc each for 220 plus parlay those 4 and texas a&m for 100 so a&m cost me about 2300$ today. i was up my fair share but it coulda been so much better.
any input on tomorrows games would b helpful. im leaning toward louisville in a rout over kentucky but any opinions would b appreciated.

I like Va Tech -4 at NCST tomorrow,
Vick and the 2 RBs, Humes and Imoh should get the job done, even on the road.
I am from MD and follow the ACC, but then again i sucked today in the picks, so take at your own risk

NCSt covers.
I was 8/8 on my bets today, the crown jewel being the moneyline TCU win.
I've made more betting on football this weekend than I have in my entire pro-poker career.
TCU +1750 mofo!!

Nice job Ice....I just throw in the occasional bet, I don't risk too much money, but I did put $250 on Iowa yesterday, which was nice. So far , so good

If you put your money on Marcus 'DUI' Vick on the road against a nasty NCSt. defense be my guest. I had an average day yesterday, ended up on the wrong side of the Bowling Green shootout, won my USF bet against PSU. Lost with Florida, won with UTEP. So I'm down a little with the juice and a parlay thrown in. Ehhhhh no big deal, the lines won't get sharp for another couple weeks or so. You will never get me to lay 35+ points on a game.....ever. The books or going to make a TON of cash on USC, because Vegas can set the # anywhere, and people will still bet it because their USC. The only 2 other plays I like were TCU and Boise St. so I would've lost the juice. BSU didn't look THAT bad, anytime you turn the ball over 6+ times on the road, your going to get rolled, it was like watching a really badly fixed game the way Zabrinsky played. It was funny at halftime the ESPN reporter as Hawkins why he pulled Z at the close of the 1st half his response, "Did you see the 1st half??!!" Someone asked about the Louisville game, their -28 and breaking in a new QB along with all new skill positions. It might be worth an entertainment play, but Louisville has too many questions on offense in my mind before I make a play on them.

as for today's plays....i teased ncstate with the under earlier in the week, and got them at -11.5 and 50 repsectively. Also taking the Padres ( Peavy starting) for -140 at the Brewers.
Also going to take Syracuse -3.5. West Virginia lost everybody from last year, very young now at the skill positions. Syracuse is a tough place to play, and they have a strong defense this year. Rookie quarterback on the road in a dome against a good d means turnovers, and a Cuse win.
I see the louisville game as -24, not -28 as someone earlier said...but still not gonna touch it. If anything, I like the under of 61...but im not backing that up with a play so take that with a grain of salt.
Cuse game bout to start. Good luck folks.

Can anyone give me a quick rundown on sports betting? Anytime I bet on sports before it was either with a spread or straight bet. I was confused by half the thread.
