Why flame the OP??
This is the stud forum, no? Play money is a joke yes, but it's good to see some people try new games.
OP, why not post some hands that you're not sure about - not the obvious ones - and I'll give some feedback.

I aint going to post any hand histories but is AKQ OS a good starting 3 cards because I think lost a bit of money playing too long with that hand. There is nothing better than making a 7 lo when you see 5 other players going for the high and building the pot so you can take half. As regards to being repeatedly harassed I have posted some pretty dumb posts which were aimed at getting noticed not to mean anything but isn't it better to ignore them or flame then and hope I learn from lesson. I took a week off posting and posted sensible things and people with the memory of elephants wont let me live it down. SapphireTiger is a censored very quick to pounce on me like it is one of his goals bit sad really. Sorry about my grammar but as I said I'd like to learn more about stud 8.

OK, I don't follow the nonsense in General much or all the flame-wars, so I don't know AspiringPro from Adam, but since he posted here in a strategy area, I'll post some help(I hope).
AK(Q) - whether suited or rainbow is junky in fullish games. Let's assume we're not talking shorthanded stud here.
Stud and Stud8 are 2 games where the types of plays you make early on(3rd and 4th) depend greatly on the playing standards of the opposition and the ante structure (more so than hold'em or Omaha).
In any case, you wouldn't play unless it was folded rounded to you, then in some games it's necessary to raise to steal antes from the bring-in. To start off though, you shouldn't play this hand. You play it more liberally in tight games if the Ace is the doorcard though.
Play tight to learn so you won't be discouraged early on. Stud8 may have less variance than stud-hi, but don't be fooled into thinking it has low variance like Omaha8.
6h7hTh is little better. Mid flushes are the worst of the hands to play in stud8. Making a flush(non-low) doesn't have the same 'power' in stud8 as it may have in hold'em.
Play this game slightly differently than you would PLO8. Aim for low hands that can back into high, or strong 2-way draws. Keeping an eye on your opponents boards(for evaluation of their hands as well as your own) is also very important in this game.
The idea in low-level games is to have a full scoop draw(or a good high, or best /only low draw) by 4th street and that can only happen if you start with strong hands on 3rd.
66A(split or concealed) and lower Ace+ pair hands
A-wheel-wheel(depending on other doors)
3 low-flush(depending on other doors)
rolled up trips(always)
3 card low str8(all below 7 please) e.g. 245
Sorry I'm running out of time and can't write a chapter here, but there is a lot to stud 8/b play and it involves raises and folding on 3rd, 4th street decision, and odds calculate on 5th. This is a game where like O8, you'll be folding a lot of hands, but when you do go past 5th, you should be in profitable sitautions most of the time.
You really need to post some hand histories, so that explanation can be given regarding board reading.
