I've responded to this question about 20 times on this site, and I'll stick to my answer. If you are learning Omaha, there's no better book than TJ Cloutier's "Championship Omaha."
It's got sections on PL Omaha, Limit High Omaha, and Limit Omaha 8/better. It teaches you to play tight and only draw to the nuts.
The biggest thing I took from it when I was learning Omaha was hand selection. to an Omaha novice every hand looks like it can be a winner. But once you learn the game you realize there's a reason you don't play a hand like A

in a full ring game - 'cause it's not likely a winner. Seriously pick up this book, and it will improve your fundamentals.
