I'm 21, college student, working the summers and making $18 an hour. Very good for a student my age, but last week I look at my check and they're now paying me $40 an hour.. I had to double check it a trillion times. Not sure the reason for the increase, but I'm not going to complain.

Thats crazy cause i was working at the local gas station 5.75 next thing u know im at 70 dollars an hour no explantion nothing been 6 months and they haven't said anything.(sw)

I'm doing epoxy injection on a college. Its filling up the cracks in the building so it doesn't eventually fall apart. That's why I was making $18. The raise up to $40 was apparently that its a "rate" job as its called. They were paying me the $18, "until they realized" they were supposed to be paying me $40 the entire summer. So.. apparently the check is correct.. and not gonna be a problem as a previous poster warned me of.
