it was more of a high low question, I know it's a premium, just didn't know about the raise PF. Thanks for the help.
Another question, how do I play QJT9 ds in high/low? I know it's a great hand in high, but h/l, I have no clue.
I'm still trying to figure out when to raise high hands myself. that's a tricky hand. I may only call with that one, because I hate hands with 9's in them. You are too likely to be trying to get half the pot. I think the ds part is a joke here, because that means you'll most likely be drawing to 1/2 the pot. for example let's say your qt is suited together. There are only 3 suited cards left that won't help a low hand. k,j, and 9. I don't think straights are that big of a deal here, especially, becuase you won't be scooping the pot a whole lot of the time. When you make a straight you'll often have to worry about someone drawing to a flush or making a bigger straight. Plus you'll often find yourself going for half the pot. You really want a full house or 2 pair in which case making these hands does not ensure you a huge profit. Since most people coming in are going for low hands they will fold to a single bet when you catch a full house, 2 pair, or even a straight. These types of hands are really tricky to play and I would never play them to a raise.
